Today I came across this article on sponsoredreviews.com which lists a number of tips to build a good audiance for a blog although being a webmaster I do know the basics and have been very succesful in building traffic but I really didint have return visitors and found this article at sponsored reviews very helpful especial those points which concentrate on quality of articles.
The article covers very much everything at 27+1 Tips for Building and Maintaining a Blog Audience but the thing which I see missing is the search engine optimisation part which is the backbone for gaining organic search engine traffic which I consider as the best source of traffic as you dont have to keep paying for and will keep flowing as long as you stay on top of the search engines alogrythm.
In the past I have managed a lot of good rankings for my webpages and I give credit to all the search engine optimisation and the genuine links which I have managed to build over the years.One such example is keyword “reliance broadband” my forum ranks no1 for this term on google.com ahead of the official website whic thousands of bloggers link to.
I would suggest if we can add directory submissions on to that list as it can be done without spending a penny by submitting to free directories but if you have some money to spend I would go for some good quality directories which have been around for more then 5 years and one of them being joeant and I also like stpt for the instant push it gives in serps.
All that said I would also like to mention that sponsored reviews offers a great service for advertising on blogs and that surely would contribute very well towards achieving desired rankings for your targeted keywords.
