Being Different

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Being gay is a trait or a feature developed biologically like any other feature or habit of ours, then why is it that we believe in keeping away from them? Are they not human beings? Why are we scared of letting them be a part of our society? In the age when we are trying and preaching to be good to Aids patience, a disease that can be transmitted, why are we trying to stay away even from even the topic of homosexuality?  Our society today is all ready to commit violence against the gays. Recently two gays committed suicide because their respected families did not agree with their relationship and wanted them to lead a heterosexual life. Why are we forcing them to take such steps? Why are we forcing them to loose their freedom and dignity? Our Vedas do not have a single page against Homosexuality. Then why is it that we consider it against Indian culture and Hinduism.

Gold Investing

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

There are many kinds of investments to make, but sometimes when making an investment you can go into great loss. But when gold investing you can not ever go wrong. The reason for this is that the strategy is very simple and easy and only requires a bit of common sense. When you purchase gold coins or bars, it is important to know what the gold rate is, it is always better to purchase gold when the rate is low, but is not necessary. When you want to make profit from the gold bars or coins, you simply sell the coin or bar but gold rate should be higher than what you brought it at, which in return gives you profit. You can keep the gold for as long as you wish, and the value will not decrease as long as you sell it as the right time of when the rate is high.

Towns soon to become Metros

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Yes it is true that the quality of the talent in the small towns is questionable but still there are many positive factors that are attracting big companies to small towns. Just like the foreign companies come to India for cheap labour, mid sized companies in India find it easy to get professional from small town at desirable pay packages. Acquiring talented professionals in Metros turn out to be expensive for small and mid sized companies. Only big companies in the industry are ready to pay quoted salaries. Attrition rate is also very low in small towns. Moreover professionals from small town look for opportunities to work closer to their homes. Small towns are ideal destination for resources and favorable real estate. Despite of the various challenges small towns are facing they are a ready pool of talent and are slowly making space in the IT world.

A must read

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

My Feudal Lord by Tehmina Durrani is a book once in hand you would not want to put down. It is a biography of a woman who lived with a despotic husband for many years in a marriage and faced physical abuse and mental violence Since we are born in liberal environment we will not be able to feel the pain of a woman who has faced so many indignities. But yes the anger and anguish in you will light up when the hypocrisy of Tehmina’s husband would get unfolded in front of your eyes. His abusive nature, his affair with her sister and his nearly drowning down the baby in the tub are few of his barbaric acts that would make you think why a woman would take up such torture and still decide to reconcile with him each time she decides that the marriage was over. We must thank God for the love and pampering we have got. My feudal Lord is touching and a must read.

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

A migraine pain is a common type of headache that may be caused with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light. Most of the people feel a throbbing pain only on one side of the head. Many people who get migraines have warning symptoms, called an aura, before the actual headache begins. A group of symptoms, usually vision disturbances, serve as a warning sign that a bad headache is coming. But most people do not have such warning signs. According to Desibaba information about 11 out of 100 people get migraines. In Migraine pain the headaches tend to start between the ages of 10 and 46 and may run in families. Migraine Pains are caused more often in women than men. It is said that pregnancy may reduce the number of migraines attacks. The study shows that at least 60 percent of women with a history of migraines have lesser such headaches during the last two trimesters of pregnancy. Till the 80s, scientists believed that migraines were due to changes in blood vessels within the brain. But today, most of them believe that the attack actually begins in the brain itself, and involves various nerve pathways and chemicals in the brain. Migraine pain attack can be initiated by stress, food, environmental changes, or some other factor. One very good cure is to listen to the latest and a golden oldie movie song, which will drift your mind and relieve your migraine.

Miscarriage

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

An early pregnancy loss is defined as miscarriage, which is also called spontaneous abortion. The different types of miscarriage are the following. Threatened miscarriage is where spotting or bleeding in the first trimester occurs. The study says that about 20 percent of women will go on to miscarry completely. Desibaba sources found that during this stage the woman is monitored for further bleeding. The Ultrasound exams which are a diagnostic imaging technique which uses high-frequency sound waves and a computer to create images of blood vessels, tissues, and organs are usually performed to monitor growth of the fetus. Complete miscarriage is where the fetus, placenta, and other tissues are passed with bleeding. Incomplete miscarriage is when only a part of the tissues are passed while some remain in the uterus. In this case there may be heavy vaginal bleeding. Missed abortion is when the embryo or fetus dies, but is not conceded out of the uterus. Septic miscarriage is when the mother gets a fever and may have bleeding and discharge with a foul odor. Here abdominal pain is common. Septic miscarriage is a serious condition and can result in shock and organ failure if not treated. Antibiotics and dilation and curettage (D & C) may become necessary. In This dilation and curettage special instruments are used to remove the abnormal pregnancy. Recurrent miscarriage means more than three miscarriages. So some this is a common problem when they are pregnant, if only everything for as hunky dory like the good old film songs, where phases in life pass quickly and happily.
